Larnaca International Airport (LCA) runs from a single modern passenger terminal, opened in 2009 and operated by Hermes Airports, handling all arrivals and departures under one roof. The building splits into a landside zone (open to anyone, with check-in, car-hire desks, ATMs and a café) and an airside zone past security, reserved for passengers with a boarding pass. Knowing which side a service sits on saves time.
Facilities at a glance

| Facility | Where in the terminal |
|---|---|
| Check-in & airline desks | Departures hall, landside |
| Duty-free & shops | Airside, after security |
| Restaurants & cafés | Both landside and airside |
| Car-rental desks | Arrivals hall |
| ATMs / bureau de change | Landside |
| Lounges | Airside |
| Free Wi-Fi | Throughout the building |
Arrivals flow
Passengers landing at LCA follow a fixed sequence: passport control, then baggage reclaim, then the customs check, before stepping into the public arrivals hall. That hall is where the rental-car counters sit and where the exit leads to the taxi rank and bus stops just outside. For the full landing routine, including entry requirements, see our arrivals guide.
Departures flow
Leaving works in the opposite direction. You start at the check-in or bag-drop desks in the departures hall, move through security, and only then reach the airside area. Beyond the gates you will find duty-free, shops, cafés and bars, and souvenir counters stocking Cypriot wine, Commandaria and halloumi, plus lounges and seating near the gates. Because the shops and dining sit past security, leave spare time after screening rather than dashing for the gate. Our departures guide covers recommended arrival times in more detail.
Services & accessibility
- ATMs and a bureau de change for euros, landside
- Cafés and a small selection of shops before security
- Free Wi-Fi across the whole building
- Reduced-mobility assistance — request it through your airline in advance rather than on the day
Signage and announcements are in Greek and English, and staff commonly serve passengers in English. Opening hours for individual shops, restaurants and lounges shift with the flight schedule and the season, so check the airport's official channels for exact times close to your travel date.

The editorial team at KG Connect researches, writes and reviews this independent guide to Larnaca International Airport (LCA). We check details against official airport, operator and government sources, show when each page was last reviewed, and correct errors as soon as we learn of them. We do not work for the airport.
